Charlton ended their pre-season in style with an empathic 6-1 win over Ipswich.
Goals from Patrick Bauer, Tariqe Fosu, Josh Magennis and Ricky Holmes ensured the Addicks will go into their League One opener against Bristol Rovers with momentum.
Andre Dozzell pulled one back for the Championship side in the second-half.
Here is how News Shopper rated Charlton’s players…
Ben Amos - 6 - An okay first appearance for the Addicks. Flapped at a corner in the first-half but wasn't punished, fortunately.
Chris Solly - 7 - Solid as ever. Freddie Sears is somewhere in his pocket.
Ezri Konsa - 6 - Comfortable afternoon for the youngster. He reads the game so well.
Patrick Bauer - 7 - Opened the scoring with a towering header - will always be a massive threat in the box.
Jay Dasilva - 7 - Attacked well as always, and carried out his defensive duties admirably.
Ahmed Kashi - 8 - You run out of words to say about the Algerian. Another fantastic display in the middle of the park - controlled Ipswich’s midfield.
Jake Forster-Caskey - 6 - Quiet game from the former Brighton man. But having Kashi in midfield, allows him to get forward more.
Ricky Holmes - 9 - Two assists and two superb goals once again showed why he is Charlton’s best attacking threat. Man of the match.
Billy Clarke - 8 - He saved his best performance in pre-season for today. Very unselfish play to tee up Fosu’s goal.
Tariqe Fosu - 7 - His impressive pre-season displays continued. Quick, tricky and has surprising strength. Must start in Charlton’s League One opener next weekend.
Josh Magennis - 8 - Karl Robinson has said he wants to bring in another striker, but Magennis reminded him why he may not have to. Two chances, two goals - clinical from the big man.
