Swindon skipper Nathan Thompson is close to joining Charlton, according to reports.
Thompson, 26, is out of contract at the County Ground, and is unlikely to stay with the relegated side.
He is understood to have a list of admirers, including League One new boys Rotherham, but looks set to sign for the Addicks.
The Rotherham Advertiser says that while Thompson was on the Millers’ wish list, a deal to bring the defender to Yorkshire will not materialise.

Now, it has opened the door for Charlton boss Karl Robinson to make his first signing of the summer.
The Addicks already have centre-backs Jason Pearce, Patrick Bauer, Harry Lennon, Jorge Teixeira and Ezri Konsa competing for places.
And Thompson would add even more depth and quality to Robinson’s defence.
