Millwall have joined Bolton and Sheffield United in the race to sign Southend midfielder Ryan Leonard.
Leonard, 25, has been a consistent performer for Phil Brown’s side, and his form has attracted interest from Championship clubs.
But Shrimpers boss Brown is determined to keep his star man, who has won Southend’s Player of the Year award three times since arriving at Roots Hall in 2011.

He told Echo News: “Things are bubbling along where Lenny is concerned but we’ve put a not for sale sign on his head at the moment and will do all we can to keep him.
“The chairman has met with Lenny for talks but we’ve had two more clubs come in for him from the Championship.
“There’s a lot of interest but we’ve knocked back all the bids so far.”
