West Ham midfielder Diego Poyet has joined Charlton in a loan deal until the end of the season, it was confirmed this afternoon.
The 20-year-old, who graduated through Charlton’s Academy set-up, impressed Addicks fans during the 2013-14 season.
Poyet made 20 league appearances for the South Londonders before deciding against signing a new deal, instead favouring to explore his options elsewhere.

The highly-rated Uruguay U20 star joined West Ham in the summer of 2014, but has struggled to earn first-team action at Upton Park.
Following loan spells at Huddersfield and MK Dons, Poyet has completed a move back to Charlton.

Nice to have @diegopoyet7 back, even on loan. Just wished he'd stayed and continued his development with us over the past 18 months. #cafc

Kashi’s been our biggest miss this season and Poyet was excellent in that role on a crap pitch in 13/14. Good signing. #cafc
