A MURDER investigation has been launched after a man's body was found in Thamesmead.
It is believed the man, who is in his 40s, was attacked and stabbed by a group of men outside Timothy House in Kale Road at around 11.18pm last night.
He was taken to the Royal London Hospital, Whitechapel, after being found on a raised walkway opposite the tower block and was pronounced dead at 1.38am.
A post mortem will be scheduled later today and an inquest will open and adjourn in due course.
The man has not yet been named.
- Three men, aged 24, 27 and 35 respectively, have been arrested in connection with the investigation.
They are in custody at various south London police stations.
