A MURDER investigation has been launched following the death of a man in Greenwich.
Police and ambulance crews were called at 3.45am to reports of a man suffering stab wounds at an address in Bardsley Lane.
The 34-year-old was taken to Lewisham Hospital and pronounced dead at 4.15am.
Police believe they know his identity but are waiting for formal identification.
A post-mortem examination will be carried out today at Greenwich Mortuary and an inquest will open and adjourn in due course.

- A 34-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with the investigation and is currently in custody at a south London police station.
