TRAFFIC was brought to a standstill in Catford last night after the town centre was cordoned off following a bomb scare.
The scare is thought to have began at around 9pm last night and saw the area grind to a halt as streets were taped off and blocked by police cars.
A 23-year-old kitchen assistant from Catford was arrested in relation to a hoax bomb call made to the Copperfield pub in Catford Bridge.
The man is currently being held at Lewisham police station pending further enquiries.
