A YOUTH has been banned from driving for six months after appearing before magistrates charged with motoring offences.
The 17-year-old, who cannot be named, was also ordered to pay £25 costs and received a nine month referral order to attend Lewisham Youth Offending Team.
Magistrates at Bromley Youth Court heard how the juvenile took a Skoda car from outside Bullers Wood School, St. Nicolas Lane, Logs Hill, Chislehurst, without the owner's permission on 16 January.
He was identified through CCTV footage and was stopped and arrested in Ashgrove Road, Downham, by police on January 19 after he was seen driving a Citeron car bearing a stolen tax disc.
At the hearing on February 27 he was convicted of taking the Skoda car without the owner's consent, driving it without insurance and without a licence.
He was also convicted of driving the car without insurance or a licence.
