A RETIRED man was shocked when he opened his front door to find his front wall had collapsed overnight.
Sixty-three-year-old Abnash Taack, of Wrotham Road, Gravesend, woke up at 4am on Saturday January 8 when he heard a loud bang.
But Mr Taack, who lives with his ten-year-old daughter Anjeli and 56-year-old wife Chernegat, did not see the extent of the damage until he answered his door at 8am.
Mr Taack said: “I looked out of the window but couldn’t see anything, so I just thought a door had slammed.
“There was a delivery coming at 8am and when I answered the door that’s when I saw it.
“If anybody had been walking past when it fell it would have been disastrous.”
Mr Taack believes the wall collapsed to due adverse weather conditions.
