Star of BBC's Call the Midwife Leonie Elliott has quit the drama after starring in the show for six years.
Elliot played the role of fan favourite Nurse Lucille Robinson who was last seen in the second episode of the latest season which ended on Sunday evening (February 26).
In the show, Nurse Robinson left after she returned to Jamaica after being diagnosed with severe depression.
Fans of Call the Midwife were quick to show their concerns during the series, after Lucille's husband Cyril brought her a ticket to the Caribbean.
The show saw Nurse Robinson struggle after she suffered a miscarriage and saw the start of a hostile environment across East London amid Enoch Powell's 'River of blood' speech.

The actress behind the role, Leonie Elliott later revealed to fans that her final scene aired early in the season, telling them: "This season was incredibly difficult to film. Thank you for all your kind words... Look after yourselves and each other.”
Whilst Elliott has left Call the Midwife, her on-screen husband played by Zephryn Taitte is said to be returning for series 13 as he continues his role helping the community.
Lucille first appeared in the BBC drama back in 2018 for the show's seventh series which was set during the big freeze of 1963.
Although Nurse Robinson has left the show, Call the Midwife will be returning for two more series taking it to 2026 and will see the drama be set in 1971.
The show is set to see Nonnatus house become a training centre seeing an influx of new midwives take to Poplar.
