A STREET warden has taken a council to a tribunal over allegations of outstanding payments.
Mark Whyte, of Sunninghill Road, Lewisham, appeared at an employment tribunal in London Road, Croydon, on January 19 to present his £6,000 payment claim against Lewisham Council.
The 37-year-old, who covers the Lewisham and Honor Oak areas, alleges he had not been given enhancement payments for working Sundays and evenings from April 7, 2003 to February 2005.
Mr Whyte, who has worked at the council for nearly four years, also says he has not been paid for Saturdays from April 7, 2003 to December 31, 2004.
Enhancements payments relate to working "anti-social hours", which are specified within his 35-hour-a-week contract.
Tribunal chairman Carol Taylor adjourned the case for a three-day hearing, starting on April 30.
