Lewisham's councillors are going on tour - with a series of meetings held outside Catford for the first time in 43 years.
The next full council meeting will be held on September 17 at Deptford Green School in New Cross, marking the start of a series of similar events around the borough.
A spokesman said: "It is a demonstration of councillors’ resolve to open themselves up to the scrutiny of the local community by making it easier for people in different parts of the borough to attend their meetings."
The September 17 meeting will be the first time the council has held a regular business meeting away from Catford since 1971 when the civic suite was opened.
The meeting will begin with a debate between councillors, the school council and aspiring young mayors.
People are invited to attend the meeting, which starts at 7.30pm with formal business from 8pm.
