A CATFORD school was visited by cross-dressing artist Grayson Perry for a Channel Four documentary.
The Turner Prize winner visited Sedgehill School during filming for a film on his forthcoming paintings for the National Portrait Gallery.
His works will focus on identity and pupils were filmed talking about the topic.
And the artist also took time to pledge his support for the school's 10,000 Hands anti-violence campaign.
Head teacher Ken Mackenzie said: "Grayson also asked students to talk about their art work which was an excellent opportunity for them to demonstrate their individual creativity and skill.
"It was a fantastic opportunity for Sedgehill students to meet Grayson and welcome him into our community."
Mr Perry said: "It was great to hear what the students at Sedgehill had to say. They struck me as very articulate and thoughtful."
The documentary will be shown next spring.
