FAMILIES braved the cold weather to go frog spotting to celebrate National Frog Day.
More than 300 people turned up at Greenwich Peninsula Ecology Park, Mudlarks Way, Greenwich, on Sunday.
They marked the time of year when frogs return to lakes and ponds to breed.
Children took part in froggy activities from a treasure hunt to pond dipping.
The Trust for Urban Ecology, arranged the event to raise awareness about low frog populations.
The number of frogs has been in decline because of the loss of ponds, pollution and poisons such as slug pellets.
A trust spokesman said: "The day went fantastically well. We had an amazing turnout. Everyone really enjoyed themselves."
