Man jailed for stealing food and alcohol from supermarkets
A 33-YEAR-OLD man has been jailed for stealing food and alcohol from supermarkets.
David King, of Calderwood Street, Woolwich, was sentenced on August 16 at Dartford and Gravesham Combined Magistrates' Court.
King pleaded guilty to two counts of shoplifting.
The court heard on February 17 that King stole alcohol and food from a supermarket in Greenhithe.
On August 31 last year King also stole food from a supermarket in Dartford.
Magistrates sentenced him to 90 days in prison and ordered him to pay £82 compensation and £150 costs.
He must also take part in eight training sessions on reducing re-offending.
