HISTORY
Bexleyheath & Crayford was created in 1997 from parts of the former seats of Bexleyheath and Erith & Crayford. Labour's Nigel Beard was MP between 1997 and 2005, before David Evennett gained the seat for the Tories in 2005, and has held it since.
DID YOU KNOW?
David Evennett was Conservative MP for Erith & Crayford between 1983 and 1997. When the constituency was redrawn in 1997 he lost his seat to Labour's Nigel Beard. He ran and lost again in the 2001 election, before finally regaining it in 2005.
OUTLOOK
David Evennett is seeking his third consecutive term in the Bexleyheath & Crayford seat, and having substantially increased his majority in 2010, it's going to take a considerable effort from another candidate to stop him.

HISTORY
Erith & Thamesmead has been a Labour seat since it was first created, from parts of the old Woolwich and Erith & Crayford constituencies, back in 1997. Teresa Pearce has held the seat since 2010.
DID YOU KNOW?
Current MP Teresa Pearce, a former Bexley councillor, stood for the first time in 2010. She took over as Labour's candidate from John Austin, who had held the seat since 1997.
OUTLOOK
The seat is expected to stay in Labour's hands this time around. It would take an huge shift in the polls to put Ms Pearce in danger.

HISTORY
Since 2010 Old Bexley & Sidcup has consisted of the London Borough of Bexley wards of Blackfen and Lamorbey, Blendon and Penhill, Cray Meadows, East Wickham, Falconwood and Welling, Longlands, St Mary’s and Sidcup. It is a Conservative safe seat and, also since 2010, the MP has been James Brokenshire.
DID YOU KNOW?
Sir Edward Heath (Prime Minister of the United Kingdom 1970-1974) held this seat and its predecessors from 1950 until 2001 when he retired, at the age of 85, by then the nation's oldest Member of Parliament.

Magic moment: In 2010 Mr Brokenshire backed a News Shopper campaign to save services at Queen Mary's Hospital in Sidcup. He joined News Shopper editor Richard Firth and Bexleyheath & Crayford MP David Evennett in marching on Downing Street to deliver nearly 3,000 copies of News Shopper's front page letter to Health Secretary Andrew Lansley, signed by individuals and families who were using the hospital.
