Police swooped on the boarded-up Catford Bridge Tavern pub today, helping to evict 20 squatters.
The popular pub was closed down last year following a long-running saga.
But despite indications it would re-open under new ownership, the doors have remained closed, allowing unwanted guests to set-up home there.
Meanwhile, the tavern's former management company Antic have opened the Catford Constitutional Club just up the road.
Lewisham police tweeted today: "Today at 7.30am after a possession order was obtained by the owners of the Copperfield PH, (Catford Bridge Tavern).
"Rushey Green SNT assisted with the eviction of twenty squatters from the pub."
