PICKPOCKETS who distract their victims by saying they have paint on their coats are targeting people in Bromley.
Officers say a couple is approaching shoppers in The Glades shopping centre and around Bromley town centre who have withdrawn money from a cashpoint before shopping.
The man and woman claim the shoppers have paint on their coats and pretend to be wiping it off.
While distracted one of the suspects steals the victim’s wallet or purse.
The suspects are both described as being a white man and woman with Eastern European accents and the man is believed to be in his 50s.
