BROMLEY has been named as the surprise curry capital of the UK.
Research to mark the 200th anniversary of the curry house has found there is one for every 853 people in the town, making Bromley the country’s curry hotspot.
The town even out-spiced world-famous curry districts such as London’s Brick Lane, Rusholme in Manchester and Birmingham’s balti mile.
According to the survey by Cobra beer, Bromley was curry miles ahead of second-placed Epsom, which has one for every 1,691 residents and third-placed Reading, with one for every 2,861 people.
The top 10 curry hotspots are:
1 Bromley
2 Epsom
3 Reading
4 Leicester
5 Cardiff
6 Doncaster
7 Tunbridge Wells
8 St. Albans
9 Loughborough
10 Cambridge
