A man in his 40s has been airlifted to hospital following a Shooters Hill crash between a motorbike and a car.
London's air ambulance landed in Shooters Hill this morning following the accident, which caused widespread traffic congestion.
Ambulances were called to the Dover Road area at around 7.30am.
A spokesman for the London Ambulance Service said: "We treated a man, reported to be in his 40s, for a leg injury.
"He was taken to the Royal London Hospital as a priority by helicopter.
Dover Road was closed and there has been queueing traffic reported in both directions between the Kenilworth Gardens junction and the Eastcote Road junction, because of the accident.
Bus routes 89 and 486 were placed on diversion.
