THIS photo is of a gun found stuck in the mud in Erith on Saturday.
Police dispatched its Marine Unit following reports of a firearm being spotted near the River Thames.
The Met Police tweeted: “We have a lot of specialist recovery kit but sometimes we have to be creative.
"Necessity is the mother of invention & in this case one of our officers put coathangers, weights & line to good use.”
