A 27-YEAR-OLD has been arrested and detained under the Mental Health Act after a stabbing in broad daylight.
Police were called to the scene at Herbert Road, Plumstead, on June 29 at around 4.40pm.
They found a man suffering from a stab wound to the back who was subsequently taken to hospital.
His condition is stable and he has now been allowed to return home.
After a search of the area, police arrested a man who has been bailed to return to a south-east London police station in August.
He was also sectioned under the Mental Health Act.
