A WAITER who sexually assaulted two girls on a bus has been spared jail.
Mohammed Rahman was given a community order after pleading guilty to two counts of sexual touching.
The 25-year-old man boarded the 194 bus at St David's Close, West Wickham, and sat next to the victims on the upper deck of the bus and started kissing them and touching them sexually.
Both victims, aged 15 and 16, moved before getting off the bus at Elmers End Green, Elmers End. Rahman also got off the bus and followed the victims for a short while.
He was arrested after being recognised in a West Wickham supermarket following a police appeal for information about the incident, which happened on December 1 last year.
Rahman, from Rochester, was sentenced at Croydon Crown Court on April 18 after pleading guilty at the same court on February 5.
Under the terms of the community order he was given he must complete 200 hours of unpaid work.
He has also been placed on the sex offenders register for five years and must pay £100 compensation to each of the victims.
