A PETITION has been launched against plans to build a £10m giant white horse landmark.
Ted Prangnell has set up an online petition calling for Gravesham Council to overturn its decision to give planning permission to artist Mark Wallinger’s designs for the Ebbsfleet Landmark.
The 76-year-old from Ashford says the horse, which will be 50m tall and 56.9m long and will overlook the A2 from Ebbsfleet Valley, will be an “embarrassment to Kent”.
He said: “I am very fond of north Kent and I worry the horse will make people laugh and say ‘what is it for and what is it doing there?’”
