January 30, 2001 12:28: GOING FAST: A few dozen tickets for Saturdays league match against Spurs at White Hart Lane have gone on general sale, while Newcastle have opted to take their full allocation for the live Sky match on Sunday, February 11.
Meanwhile, Tottenham have objected to Charltons pricing structure for their FA Cup fourth-round clash next Wednesday. All fans will now pay £20, with concessions of £10 in the east and west stands and £8 in the covered end.
Spurs fans will no longer get concessions, as they were not willing to reciprocate at any replay. General manager Mick Everett said: "The prices have been in the public domain for a fortnight, so it is disappointing this has only come up once the third round tie was resolved.
"We can only apologise to our supporters for the confusion and inconvenience."
ON THE MOVE: Defender Carl Tiler has been placed on the transfer list at his own request. Tiler, who cost £700,000 when signed from Everton in September 1998, has failed to secure a regular-first-team place.
ON TARGET: Shaun Bartlett grabbed the winning goal for South Africa on Saturday as his country beat Burkina Faso 1-0 in their World Cup qualifier.
MAGIC MOORE: Two goals from Emma Moore enabled the Charlton women's team to record an impressive 2-1 win against Everton and seal a tie against either Ilkeston Town or Southampton Saints in the next round of the FA Cup.
OSEI PICKED: Youngster Osei Sankofa has been called up to the England Under15 squad to play Spain on Friday, February 9. The 15-year-old central defender has been selected for the England squad for the first phase of the Walkers Under 15 International tournament. Sankofa has also been placed on standby for the second phase of the competition, from February 19-25.
LEIGH LEAVES: Striker Leigh Hales, 19, the son of Charlton's all-time record scorer, Derek, has left the club.
