HOUSEHOLDS are being told to boil their water to kill bacteria one month after routine tests found the supply was contaminated.
Sevenoaks District Council delivered letters on November 2 warning residents in 76 homes and three businesses in isolated areas around Eynsford, Lullingstone and Crockenhill.
Homes affected are supplied with water by Lullingstone Water Company and residents are advised to boil water before using it for cooking, drinking or cleaning teeth.
There have been no reports of illness.
A Sevenoaks Council spokesman said: “The council is continuing to advise residents to boil their water for drinking, cooking and brushing teeth until further notice.
“The council will continue to sample the water and will advise residents as soon as the tests indicate the water is safe to drink without the need to boil.”
