RESIDENTS are being invited to comment on plans to protect some of the borough’s species of animal and plants.
Greenwich Council’s biodiversity action plan aims to develop particular habitats in the borough where wildlife can thrive.
The council now wants to hear residents’ views on what areas and species should be protected.
Greenwich Council cabinet member for greener Greenwich Councillor Rajwant Sidhu said: “This is a great opportunity for people to play their part in enhancing the natural environment in Greenwich, even in their own back gardens.
“The plan is in its draft stage so it’s vital we now hear from residents so we can make sure we are targeting the right areas.”
You can see the draft at any library in Greenwich, at Woolwich town hall, or online at greenwich.gov.uk/biodiversity.
Those who return the feedback form will be entered into a free prize draw to win a food hamper.
