A BODY found in a park is believed to be that of a Spanish teacher based at a Bromley school who went missing earlier this month.

Javier Rey, 50, had not been in touch with anyone since he left Bishop Justus School at 8.30pm on November 4.

Mr Rey came to the UK in September and was employed by the Spanish Embassy to teach Spanish on Tuesday evenings at the school in Magpie Hall Lane.

Police know after leaving the school he returned to his flat in north Sheen, in south London, at 9.40pm.

CCTV footage shows he left his flat the following morning and headed towards Richmond.

At around 2pm on November 22 police found a body in Old Deer Park, Richmond.

Although the body has not been formally identified, police officers say they are “satisfied” it is Mr Rey.
