A LOFT was not the best hiding place for a man accused of defrauding Bromley pensioners.
Police were searching a house when the 30-year-old suspect crashed through the ceiling into the bathroom at around 7am this morning (November 24).
He landed in front of a startled police officer and was arrested.
Officers also arrested two others, a 46-year-old man and a 17-year-old girl, as part of a large scale operation into the defrauding of elderly people across Bromley and south east London and money laundering.
More than 60 Bromley officers took part in Operation Farmer along with officers from Thames Valley Police, Scambusters and Bromley Trading Standards and searched two homes in Wokingham, Berkshire.
They seized £50,000 cash at the properties and made a restraint order to freeze £1.25m of assets.
The three suspects are now in custody at Bromley police station.
