WE asked for businesses to offer rewards to people who do good deeds. Then we asked people to start doing nice things to earn the rewards. One man has chosen to do both!

That man is Steve Gibbs, who runs a property services firm based in Deptford Bridge.

Steve got in touch with News Shopper to get involved in the Kindness Club, our fantastic new community rewards scheme.

He wants to offer a 10 per cent discount to Kindness Club members for private painting, decorating or cleaning work carried out by his company, Steven Gibbs Property Services.

But perfectly embodying the spirit of the Kindness Club, Steve wants to spread the niceness even further than that, by doing an extremely generous deed himself.

Steve is planning to decorate the classroom of a local school. Just because it’s a good thing to do.

Arrangements are currently being made and we’ll bring you more news on this lovely act of kindness when it happens.

When the deed is done, Steve and his team of helpers will earn themselves membership of the Kindness Club.

In the meantime, you can take advantage of Steve’s discount offer – and the other rewards put forward by businesses – by becoming a member of the club yourself.

To qualify, you need to show that you have done something kind for other people.

Do a favour for someone, do something fun and silly that puts a smile on people’s faces, put yourself out to do something helpful – see how easy it is to get involved

With Steve Gibbs signing his business up and two other businesses also joining, ARC Driver Training Centre and Foot Angel, the list of rewards has grown to six.

We want more businesses to get involved so if you can offer a small reward to people who do good deeds contact web editor Simon Bull by email or call 01689 885713.
