A popular free festive light trail is returning to Greenwich this year at a brand new historic house next month.

This November, Greenwich is set to welcome the return of its popular Sparkle in the Park light trail for a fifth year running.

Running from November 28 to December 1, this popular festive light trail, created in partnership with the Royal Borough of Greenwich and FESTIVAL.ORG, will offer Greenwich locals a chance to explore a festive light trail at a new location.

This year's location has been confirmed as Charlton Park, House and Gardens, a historic 17th century house and Jacobean gardens, which will host a light trail, Christmas market and fun fair.

The event will also be accompanied by festive performances from local schools and community choirs.

In accompaniment to Sparkle in the Park, Charlton House and Gardens has also announced a festive calendar of activities where the inside of the house will be turned into a Winter Tavern, with Mrs Clause experiences for the children.

November will be busy with festive activity throughout Greenwich borough, as Eltham and Woolwich host annual Christmas light switch on events on November 16 and November 23, as well as Greenwich Market’s popular lantern parade and light switch on November 20.

The event is free, with visitors not required to book a ticket, however Greenwich Council has advised that there may be queues during busy periods due to popularity.

Sparkle in the Park will return to Charlton Park, House and Gardens from November 28 until December 1 from 4:30pm to 9pm.
