A popular pub enriched in history in Greenwich has bagged an award at The 2024 Great British Pub Awards.

The winners of the 2024 Great British Pub Awards have been announced, celebrating the best pubs across various categories, from the top community spot to the best venue for sports.

And the award for the Best Pub for Entertainment goes to none other than The Trafalgar Tavern on Park Row in Greenwich.

Steeped in Britain’s naval history, The Trafalgar Tavern boasts walls adorned with artefacts and paintings that commemorate iconic naval victories and figures.

Nestled in the heart of Greenwich, with stunning views over the Thames, it’s home to the Nile Restaurant and Collingwood Bar.

Whether you're in the mood for a pub lunch, a pint, or a Sunday roast, the Trafalgar Tavern’s seasonal menu features classic dishes like their renowned fish and chips.

The bar offers an impressive selection, including over 20 local and national beers, a whiskey collection with more than 100 varieties, and a gin selection that will please any enthusiast.

Other notable winners of the 2024 Great British Pub Awards include The Tollemache Arms in Northamptonshire, which was named the Overall Great British Pub of the Year, and the Bull & Swan in Stamford, which took home the award for Best Town Pub.

Another winner from London is The Pig’s Head in Clapham, which won the award for the Best Sustainable Pub.

On Sunday, September 22, from 12pm to 3pm, the venue will host a wedding fair featuring canapés, prosecco, and over 30 top wedding vendors.

This Thursday (September 19), and next (September 26), customers can enjoy the authentic vibes of Sian Kelly’s acoustic act, bringing a touch of dark pop and grunge to Greenwich.

Having previously played and toured under ‘Holocene’, Sian is bringing this exclusive performance to the Trafalgar Tavern.
