An Eltham branch of M&S has begun hiring its Christmas team.

Despite it being only September, the company is already preparing for the festive season with Christmas treats on its shelves as well.

To join the M&S team in Eltham, based on Eltham’s High Street, applicants must be quick learners, passionate about service and excited to speak to customers.

It wants this team to be able to help M&S customers choose gifts and food with “energy, enthusiasm and a commitment to excellence”.

It is advertised as “more than just a seasonal job”, but a way to kickstart a retail career.

Staff are given the opportunity to meet new people everyday and immerse themselves in the “excitement that makes this time of year so special”.

New recruits will be welcomed into a team that values hard work, “aims high”, and knows how to have fun, M&S claims.

The Christmas team will receive training on the job and “learn by doing in a fast-paced, supportive environment”, with leaders promising that no two days will be the same.
