I went to see the new Christmas range launching at Fortnum & Mason next week – and I couldn’t be more excited for the festive season.
The countdown to Christmas has begun in London, as Fortnum & Mason is set to launch their new Christmas range on Monday (September 16).
The shop dates to 1707 when it was first built and is a regular supplier of Buckingham Palace just a short way from the store, and also supplied Sir Ernest Shackleton with his supplies for an expedition to the North Pole.
There’s something quite magical about getting to this landmark shop before it has opened to the public, only to find yourself immersed in their Christmas range.
One thing the brand is certainly known for amongst everything else are their iconic hampers, and this year is no exception, with a curation of hampers starting from £70 all the way up to £1,000.
You can even get Christmas decorations fashioned after the iconic hamper priced at £24.95 for a Christmas keepsake, as well as decorations fashioned to resemble their famous afternoon tea.
One of their other key products this year is their advent calendars, which really have a broad range on offer, from a luxury food calendar for £200 to a tea and biscuits advent calendar priced at £95, as well as their popular beauty advent calendar for £265.
This year a huge number of their Christmas products have been designed to feature whimsical woodland animal designs and can be repurposed and used again with refills.
I got to try a range of Christmas treats on offer, including their Winter Sparkling Tea, made with Chai, Oolong, Darjeeling, Silver Needle and Jasmine teas, that can be drank on its own or paired with prosecco.
Another highlight for me was their Christmas Classic Panettone, made in Venice from a recipe dating back to 1882, and they even had a Panettone liqueur made with saffron to add to your festive cocktail.
They also had some more fun foodie gifts for the children, such as edible coal that tastes like toffee, along with a box of chocolate reindeer noses for £9.95, which even has a red one to pay homage to everyone’s favourite reindeer.
This year's range definitely honed in on the traditional Christmas flavours and charm the brand is best known for, with a range of prices for everyone to enjoy a little something special this Christmas.
It definitely has me excited for Christmas and I can’t wait to go back.
Fortnum & Mason’s new Christmas range will be available online and in store from September 16.
