I went for dinner in the same building as Magic Mike for an evening of delicious food overlooking a casino.
The restaurant overlooking the casino and sharing a building with Magic Mike gives it a buzzing atmosphere and makes the sophisticated dinner feel fun at the same time.
Staff at the restaurant were extremely attentive and helpful, and I was very pleased that the sommelier asked us what kind of wine we usually like so that he could recommend a bottle he knew we would enjoy.
I highly enjoyed being brought warm bread and butter that we ate after choosing our food – I always think that’s a lovely touch.
To start, I had the tuna tartare with was both tangy and creamy because it came with both mango and pickled ginger.
This gave the dish a really nice balance.
For my main course, I was tempted by the stone bass which came with champagne sauce, leeks and chive oil.
The fish was perfectly cooked, it was tender and most, and the sauce was creamy and rich.
I chose the sweet potato mash and Greek tomato salad as my sides.
The tomatoes were sweet and refreshing, especially when we’re in the middle of a heatwave, and the sweet potato was sweet and creamy.
As much as the desserts looked incredible, we were absolutely stuffed from our food thus far.
The highlight at Heliot Steak House for me was definitely the friendly, thoughtful service from the waiters inside the restaurant.
It certainly is a unique experience eating above a casino, and I would certainly recommend anyone seeing Magic Mike pop next door to eat at the steak house.
