A free outdoor cinema is coming to Bromley this summer with family-friendly films and an on-site bar.

Your Bromley has announced it will be hosting a free outdoor cinema at Queens Gardens in The Glades Shopping Centre this August.

Running from August 15 – August 17, the event named Midsummer Movies will be hosting a series of film screenings within the landscaped gardens that were formerly visited by Queen Elizabeth II during her Diamond Jubilee

This free three-day event will feature an array of film screenings, from family favourites such as Frozen, Trolls Band Together and Paw Patrol, to newer releases like Barbie and Wonka.

Frances Forest, BID manager, said: “We are committed to making Bromley Town Centre a great place to be, this summer and all year round.

“We hope our free movie screening events will be enjoyed by new and existing visitors to the area as we bring some cinema classics to the great outdoors.”

The Barbie screening will also feature a competition for the best Barbie-themed fancy dress, with prizes awarded to the winners.

The event has also been created in collaboration with Italian restaurant Remoli, which will be hosting a food and Aperoli bar serving both non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks, if you fancy grabbing something whilst you watch the film.

Simone Remoli of sponsor, Remoli, said: “We are delighted to be sponsoring this event and helping to entertain Bromley this summer.

“We hope those attending will take the opportunity to enjoy some of our delicious Italian food and enjoy our Aperol bar too.”

Deckchairs will also be available to hire for a charity donation, with family screenings aired earlier in the day.
