A shocking picture from a crash in Erith shows a car flipped onto its side.

The images show a black car turned onto its side with the windscreen smashed in and glass all over the floor.

The crash occurred at around 3pm yesterday (July 18) on West Street.

One man was taken treated at the scene before being to hospital by paramedics.

No other injuries were reported.

Police attended the incident and closed the road to traffic.

We have approached the Metropolitan Police for further information.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 3.10pm on Thursday 18 July to reports of road traffic collision in West Street, Erith.

“We sent an ambulance crew to the scene.

“We treated one patient at the scene, before taking them to hospital.”
