With its easy travel links to central London by train, overground and DLR, along with Green Flag parks and local history, Lewisham is a popular neighbourhood for many prospective homeowners.
On average, house prices in Lewisham were around £567,684, according to data from the HM Land Registry, with the average property price found to have increased by 16.41 percent over the last five years.
Over the last year, there were 686 residential property sales in the borough, with sales ranging between £270,000 and £396,000.
The most expensive street in the borough according to data was Handen Road in the area of Lee Green, which had 6 sales in the last five years, with prices averaging at an eye-watering £1,532,083.
The road is situated within close distance to the nearby stations of Lee and Hither Green, offering travel links to London Bridge and Charing Cross.
There’s also the nearby park of Manor House Gardens and a number of local pubs and eateries located in Hither Green.
Closely followed behind Handen Road was Pepys Road in Deptford, where prices were found to average at £1,510,238 based on three house sales over the past five years.
The street is within a short distance of nearby stations New Cross Gate and Nunhead, with travel links to central London by rail and overground.
