Ever dreamt of dining abroad without leaving London? Look no further than TH@51 in Victoria.
Nestled within the chic St James' Court - A Taj hotel, this gem has quickly become a darling of the London dining scene.
After months of anticipation, I finally ventured to this culinary haven.
TH@51 offers an extraordinary dining experience, blending diverse flavours and innovative techniques to create dishes that are both visually stunning and downright delicious.
I strolled in with a friend, immediately captivated by the modern, stylish décor—a perfect blend of luxury and warmth.
The restaurant’s inviting ambiance features warm lighting, elegant furnishings, ample indoor and outdoor seating, and a grand central kitchen that adds a touch of theatre to the dining experience.
Our evening began at 7.30 pm, as we took in the gorgeous surroundings.
The highlight? A beautiful outdoor courtyard with a stunning central fountain, ideal for al fresco dining on warm evenings.
Kicking off the night with cocktails, my friend opted for a Spicy Margarita, while I ventured out of my comfort zone with a Coconut Espresso Martini—a surprisingly delightful choice.
The menu at TH@51 is a tantalizing mix of international dishes, each meticulously crafted with fresh, high-quality ingredients.
We started with the Sumac Garlic Prawns (£17) and Cajun Spiced Lamb Bao Buns (£18).
Both dishes were outstanding, but the prawns, paired with beetroot tzatziki, stole the show - I could easily devour them daily.
Although a committed carnivore, I couldn’t resist the Paneer Wellington (£26) for my main course.
Accompanied by Mascarpone makhani, garlic spinach, and a fusion of Indian and British flavors, this dish was a revelation.
The buttery, flaky crust and rich, creamy paneer were perfectly complemented by the luxurious sauce.
My friend savoured the Duck Leg Roast, featuring Indian-inspired spiced onion, Asian chili risotto, and a poached egg—another testament to TH@51's culinary progress.
Sufficiently stuffed, we moved to the courtyard, soaking in the serene atmosphere, including views of the stunning hotel and the J Wellness Circle—a spa retreat for Londoners and visitors alike.
In conclusion, TH@51 offers an exceptional dining experience that will thrill even the most discerning food enthusiasts.
It’s also a popular spot for brunch lovers, with a new brunch menu available every Saturday and Sunday.
Highlights include nibbles like Miniature Charcuterie Platter and Goi Con, and brunch specials such as the Breezy Acai Bowl, Ocean Breeze Shrimp Cocktail topped with Italian lime and avocado, and Lava Stone Grilled Cornfed Chicken.
With its innovative menu, stellar service, and elegant ambiance, TH@51 is a true culinary gem in the heart of London, making you feel as though you've been transported to a gourmet paradise abroad.
