A total of 20 roads are set to close to traffic for a number of festivals happening in Crystal Palace Park.
From 8am on Thursday, July 4, until midnight on Monday, July 8, 20 roads in Crystal Palace will be closed to traffic to enable the ‘Crystal Palace Park Events’ to go ahead.
This includes performances by The National on Friday, Skepta's Big Smoke festival on Saturday, and Bloc Party celebrating their 20th anniversary on Sunday, all organised by the UK music promoter Festival Republic.
The following roads will be access only and closed to through traffic at the times signs are displayed:
1. Old Cople Lane, Crystal Palace - for its entire length
2. St Aubyn's Road, Crystal Palace - for its entire length
3. Milestone Road, Crystal Palace - for its entire length
4. Crystal Palace Park Access Road, at junction with Anerley Hill - for its entire length
5. Cintra Park, Crystal Palace - for its entire length
6. Ledrington Road, Crystal Palace - for its entire length
7. Crystal Palace Station Road - for its entire length and full closure outside the station
8. Pleydell Avenue, Crystal Palace - for its entire length
9. Palace Road, Crystal Palace - for its entire length
10. Brunswick Place, Crystal Palace - for its entire length
11. Anerley Vale - for its entire length
12. Hadlow Place, Crystal Palace - for its entire length
13. Waldegrave Road, Crystal Palace - for its entire length
14. Pascal Mews, Crystal Palace - for its entire length
15. Hamlet Road, Crystal Palace - for its entire length
16. Thicket Road - at the junction with Anerley Road.
17. Versailles Road - for its entire length
18. Melbourne Court - for its entire length
19. Madeline Road - for its entire length
20. Anerley Park - for its entire length
21. Penge West Station Access - full closure of the access road that serves Penge West Station.
22. William Booth Road - for its entire length
23. Ridsdale Road - for its entire length Belvedere Road will have a one-way traffic system, eastbound, between Tudor Road and Mowbray Road.
Maberley Road will also have a one-way traffic system southbound, between Belvedere Road and Mowbray Road.
There will be banned right turn movements from Cintra Park, Chipstead Close, Anerley Grove, Waldegrave Road, Hamlet Road, Amberley Crescent, Maberley Road, and onto Belvedere Road during the dates above.
Banned left turn movements will also be in place for Auckland Road and Belvedere Road at junctions with Belvedere Road.
Maberley Road will have no point of entry at the junction of Mowbray Road.
Vehicles are banned from:
• Turning right from the southern section of Jasper Road (south to north) into the northeastern section of Jasper Road (outside 31 and 33 Farquhar Road).
• Turning left from Westow Hill into Jasper Road.
• Turning left from Farquhar Road into the northern section of Jasper Road.
• Turning right from Farquhar Road into the northern section of Jasper Road.
No waiting is allowed (including for loading or unloading) on Farquhar Road between:
• A point 20 meters north of the northern kerb line of the northern section of Jasper Road.
• A point 20 meters southwest of the southwestern kerb line of the southern section of Jasper Road.
A one-way traffic system will be imposed on Jasper Road, between the southwestern kerb line of the southern section of Farquhar Road and the northern kerb line of the northern section of Farquhar Road, in a north-westerly and then north easterly direction.
Nothing in this order shall prevent pedestrian access at any time to any premises situated on or adjacent to any road to which the order relates.
This order does not apply to actions taken with the permission or direction of a police officer in uniform or a traffic warden.
Access to properties will be maintained as much as possible from either side of the closure. Emergency access and exit routes will always be available. Pedestrian access will be available at all times during the events.
