A south east London borough has been rated the best place to live in London for green spaces.
In honour of National Pet Day on Thursday (April 11), Barratt London conducted a study into the London boroughs with the most amount of green spaces to walk your furry friends.
According to 2023 data from Greenspace Information for Greater London, it revealed that Bromley has the highest percentage of green space per household in the whole of London (eight per cent).
While some people move to London to be part of the hustle and bustle of busy city life, if you’re searching for peaceful parks to walk your pooches in, there are plenty of neighbourhoods with green spaces in Bromley to choose from.
Bromley has a number of beautiful parks and green spaces making it the ideal borough to live in for any outdoor lovers or those looking to treat their four-legged friend to the best walks London has to offer.
One favourite park for locals is High Elms Country Park, a beautiful 250-acre space with extensive woodland, a stunning garden, and Grade II listed buildings, making for a lovely afternoon visit.
Another prominent spot is the expansive Kelsey Park, renowned for its tranquil lake, tree-lined paths, and well-maintained lawns, provides ample space for dogs to roam and explore.
Additionally, the park features designated areas where dogs can run off-leash, allowing for plenty of freedom and exercise.
For furry friends seeking a more rugged adventure, Jubilee Country Park provides an woodland experience with a network of paths weaving through forested areas.
Dogs can enjoy bounding through the undergrowth and splashing in the streams that meander through the park.
The other four boroughs who made the top areas to live for green spaces are: Havering (seven per cent), Hillingdon (six per cent), Richmond upon Thames (five per cent) and Enfield (three per cent).
