I visited the newly opened pasta restaurant in Bromley where you can order authentic Italian dishes and customise your pasta as you’d like it.
Recently opened in the Queen’s Gardens of the Glades, Pasta Remoli opened its doors in March offering a range of authentic Italian pasta dishes, along with a range of imported Italian wines and mixed cocktails.
First opening 12 years ago serving traditional Italian pasta dishes, the restaurant offers a range of Italian favourites from pasta carbonara to tiramisu.
I was recently invited to try the new menu at Pasta Remoli after it opened and went with my dad to gorge on some carbs for the evening.
The restaurant has an open, bright and modern feel, with prints and foliage on the walls and a bar area at the back where cocktails are mixed.
To start off with we began with drinks, I was keen to try one of the cocktails and went for a classic Margarita served with tequila, orange and lime.
They have a good selection of Italian aperitifs and classic cocktails like an Americano, Negronis and Bellinis with prices ranging from £8 - £11.
For starters I went with a classic Bruschetta, which I opted to top with Burrata for some added creaminess, whilst my dad went for the Caprese de Bufala, a fried melted mozzarella dish.
Both were very good with pretty generous portion sizes.
One thing I really liked about Remoli was that you could customise your pasta dish and choose the type of pasta you want, including vegan and gluten-free options, as well as adding cheese toppings.
There are nine different pastas and five cheeses to choose from in total, with 12 different sauces to pick from.
I went for the Amatricana, described as the “ultimate Roman sauce”, with a rich tomato base, crispy guanciale and Pecorino Romano cheese, whilst my dad went for a classic Carbonara sauce with Tortellini and Parmigano Reggiano.
Everything was very flavourful and the guanciale gave it a lovely crispy texture, and I really liked the option to be able to customise the dish to suit my preferences.
For desserts, Remoli serves a selection of classics like Tiramisu and Torta della Nonna along with a selection of gelato flavours.
For dessert I went for the Italian Chocolate and Raspberry Cheesecake and my dad tried the Torta di Mele, an apple frangipane tarte made with almonds and served with vanilla gelato.
The cheesecake was rich and indulgent, the richness of the chocolate worked really well against the tartness of the raspberry.
All in all, I think Pasta Remoli makes a great addition to Bromley for anyone looking to try some classic Italian dishes and cocktails.
