Two lanes of the M25 between Orpington and Dunton Green have been closed following a vehicle fire.
Emergency services were called to the area between Junctions J4 and J5 of the M25 today (March 16) at around 2:14pm to where a car was ablaze on the hard shoulder.
Fire crews and highways officers attended the scene.
The blaze was extinguished and highways officers remain at the scene.
According to AA Maps, lanes one and two are blocked due to a fire engine at the scene whilst work is underway to recover the vehicle.
We have contacted Kent Fire and Rescue Service for further information.
A spokesperson for Kent Police said: “Kent Police was called at 2.14pm on Saturday 16 March to a car alight on the hard shoulder of the M25 between junctions 4 and 5.
“Patrols, highways officers and fire crews attended the scene where the blaze was extinguished.
“Highways officers remain at the scene where two lanes have been closed to traffic while arrangements are made to recover the vehicle.”
