New Government data has revealed the Bexley roads with the longest delay times for drivers.
Data recorded from the years of 2019 to 2023 revealed the roads in the UK with the longest and shortest wait times calculated by seconds per vehicle mile, equating the seconds a motorist was held up for each mile travelled.
Data revealed that the A220, a 2.8-mile long road linking Bexley to Erith, had the longest wait times in Bexley, with motorists having to wait an average of 146.2 seconds per vehicle mile.
Followed by that was the A207 linking Charlton to Dartford, where drivers were recorded to wait an average of 140.1 seconds per vehicle mile, and the A222 where drivers waited an average of 130.2 seconds per vehicle mile.
The lowest road in the list was revealed to be the A2, a large road connecting Kent with London, running through Bexley, where drivers were recorded to wait an average of 23.2 seconds per vehicle mile.
