You could be entitled to a fortune through one of the unclaimed estates in south east London.
A total of 149 estates in the area have been passed to the Crown as ‘ownerless property’.
This happens when a person passes away without leaving a will and there are no apparent family members to claim the inheritance.
In general, estates held on the list can be claimed within 12 years from when the estate was taken into possession of the Crown.
The list of unclaimed estates is updated and published daily on the Government’s website.
Lewisham had the highest number of recorded unclaimed estates with 62, followed by Sydenham and Woolwich with 15.
