The body of a man has been found in Kent.
The discovery was made by police at a location in Gravesend yesterday evening (January 30).
The man was confirmed dead at the scene.
While formal identification is yet to take place, the family of a 72-year-old man who was reported missing earlier in the day from Chatham have been informed.
The death is not currently being treated as suspicious and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
A spokesperson for Kent Police said: “During the evening of Tuesday 30 January 2024, Kent Police attended a location in Gravesend where the body of a man was located.
“He was confirmed deceased at the scene.
“Formal identification has not yet taken place, however the family of a 72-year-old man who was reported missing earlier in the day from Chatham have been informed.
“The death is not currently being treated as suspicious and a report will be prepared for the coroner.”
