A south east London Turkish restaurant that prides itself on its exceptional hospitality and outstanding menu is a finalist on the British Kebab Awards list.
The British Kebab Awards looks for and praises the efforts of local kebab takeaways and restaurants across the United Kingdom.
Ev Restaurant, on 98 Isabella Street, South Bank, is one of three restaurants in London to be listed as having the best value for a kebab restaurant.
Their menu consists of authentic ingredients and kebabs from Turkey, including the Tavuk Kulbasti, which is a grilled marinated chicken fillet served with bulgar wheat and salad, and the Ev Iskender - grilled lamb on a bed of cubed homemade, rich tomato sauce and creamy yoghurt.
According to its website, Ev Restaurant “prides itself on its exceptional hospitality and outstanding menu, which combines traditional Anatolian and Mediterranean dishes that can be enjoyed within a contemporary atmosphere.”
As of January 19, the restaurant has a rating of 4.3 out of 5 stars from the 1,557 reviews on Google.
One reviewer said: “For main, the lamb mince kebab was tasty, with heaps of really fresh salad and bulgur wheat - a really simple but tasty dish.
“I had to ask for some chilli sauce on the side as it would have been a bit dry otherwise, but with this it was great.”
Ev Restaurant is open from 12pm to 11pm on Monday, 12pm to 11:30pm from Tuesday to Friday, 9am to 11:30pm on Saturday, and 12pm to 10:30pm on Sunday.
