Two men were found to be carrying huge zombie knives after an "altercation" on London Bridge.
On New Year’s Eve police searched the pair after reports of an incident on the bridge.
Jayden Patterson, 18, of Maitland Street in Bedford, and Ryan Mason, 20, of Purkis Close in Hayes, were both found to be carrying 18-inch zombie knives.
The pair were arrested and charged with possessing a knife in public.
On January 2 they both appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court where they each pleaded guilty to the charge.
They were both remanded in custody until sentencing.
Superintendent William Duffy, of the City of London Police, said: “The swift action of police officers has meant that dangerous zombie knives have been removed from the streets and two men have been charged with this offence.
“We treat knife crime extremely seriously in the City of London and if you are found to be carrying an offensive weapon we will act quickly and bring you to justice.
“If you know someone who carries a knife, speak to them about the consequences.
“Be an upstander, not a bystander, it might just save their life or that of another."
