Here are some of the top places to savour vegan dishes in south east London, which offer a diverse array of plant-based delights to cater to the growing appetite for vegan dining experiences.

Morgan & Watson - 38 Westow St, London SE19 3AH

This restaurant has an impressive 4.9 rating on Google Reviews and is based in Crystal Palace. The menu features a variety of dishes, including soup, mushrooms on toast, beer-battered tempeh, gnocchi gratin, and enticing desserts like a gin and blackberry trifle and a warm chocolate toffee pudding.

A review reads: “Everything about this place is fantastic - the welcome, the staff, the service, the atmosphere (especially in the beautiful little garden) and the food has to be some of the best vegan food I have ever tasted and I’ve been plant-based for over 30 years.

“The flavours, creativity and presentation was all amazing. I went with two meat eaters and even they were blown away by the flavours.

In 2010, Ruby's started in Greenwich Market, providing a diverse selection of vegan bakes. All of Ruby's products are 100 per cent plant-based, with options available without gluten.

Ruby's of London has evolved into a plant-based patisserie, offering a variety of sweet and savoury items, including special occasion and celebration cakes.

The Waiting Room - 134 Deptford High St, London SE8 3PQ

Vunch Café - 217 Southborough Ln, Bickley, Bromley BR2 8AT

Vunch proudly stands as the only fully plant-based café in Bromley. Its owners emphasise a deep commitment to sustainable and cruelty-free living. The menu is entirely vegan and thoughtfully curated with input from patrons. The diverse menu also features an array of smoothies.

The café is also running an offer via its website for January - if customers use the code VEGANUARY2024 when placing their order they receive 10 per cent off.
