Eltham Palace’s iconic Christmas light trail has now opened for the festive season, bringing festive lights to the area.
The trail has been produced by an award-winning team at Kilimanjaro Live, in partnership with English Heritage.
It is set in the grounds of the art deco mansion and former Tudor royal palace in south London.
The light trail opened on Friday, December 1 and will remain open until January 1.
As well as the beautiful lights, there is also festive food, cocktails and photo opportunities available.
Katherine Jewkes, award-winning creative director, is working alongside Illumaphonium to bring together a spectacle or illuminations and installations.
Illumaphonium will bring their installation Halo to Christmas at Eltham Palace. ‘Halo’ is a dynamic, interactive installation that lights up and plays music in response to touch.
Created as a series of towers that feature illuminated halos, visitors can enjoy a sensory experience making music and an ever-evolving pattern of light as they interact with the piece.
This will be perfect for families and little ones to enjoy and is sure to bring a smile to faces as spectators watch the installation come to life.
Katherine Jewkes said: “We’re incredibly excited to be bringing a brand-new light trail to Eltham Palace, one of the most unique house and gardens in the country.
“We can’t wait to bring a host of spectacular installations that will help get visitors into the Festive spirit in 2023.”
Stuart Galbraith, CEO of Kilimanjaro Live said: “Christmas at Eltham Palace will be truly epic; it is a wonderful place steeped in history, and we can’t wait to create some magical Festive memories there this year.”
Abi Marsh, Head of Historic Properties English Heritage, London said: “We’re so excited to be launching a brand-new Christmas light trail this festive season in partnership with Kilimanjaro Live.
